Police Surround APC National Secretariat

A detachment of men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have arrived the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to ostensibly to forestall any breakdown of law and order.

LEADERSHIP observed that a total of 9 trucks full of well-armed police men are at the APC secretariat with some are roaming around the compound, asking staff to return to their offices.

As at the time of filing this report, it was yet to ascertain who called for the reinforcement.

A source however said that thugs were seen gathering near the party office hence the move to bridge any security laps.

Cultists invade station to free member, police arrest seven Suspected members of the Vikings confraternity have allegedly invaded the office of the Operation Safe Delta, a formation of the Delta State Police Command at Issele-Asagba, the state capital. Southern City News gathered that the cult members stormed the police formation over the arrest of a member, who they allegedly attempted to escape from police detention. Sources told our correspondent that the cultists were overpowered by policemen during the invasion on Monday night. “The suspects stormed the OSD command office in four cars with over 15 members. But the police overpowered them and seven members of the cult were arrested during the incident,” the source said.
